Sources of Sharia

During more than 1400 years of its history, Shari’ah had evolved slowly and imperceptibly – despite what is taught to Muslim children and despite their critic’s paranoia of ‘static Islam of the 7th-century desert’.

However, certain sources of Shari’ah have been retained, for good reasons.

Had it not been for these good reasons, Islam would have been relegated to a faith – with superstitions, contradictions, and willing ability to live with those contradictions.

With Modernity‘s advent, Islam hasn’t responded yet to its potential. It spends a lot of time weaving stories upon stories, that helps cover the light that our global village needs.

It is a good time to remind ourselves that Islam was the only religion that was open to the path of Enlightenment during its hey-days. The reasons for this will be obvious if you take a journey through this website.

Of course, Muslims have a lot to do to make-up for their long sleep. And Islam does have that potential, amongst all religions of the world, to stand up to the onslaught of the material upon the spiritual/soul.
