Catholic Christianity

Roman Catholic Church, based in Rome, is the only religion that has a representation in the United Nations. It hopes to guide and influence 20% humanity.

Faith

As with other Christians, the Church believes in the concept of Trinity. However, it differs from Orthodox Christianity in Aqeedah (nature of Trinity) and Protestant Christianity in Fiqh (application of Christian doctrine in activities of daily life).

Shariah

While Orthodox Christianity submits itself to the Caeser of the day, the Roman Church crusades to be the king-makers: by writing rules for the kings. At least that is what it has done over the last millennium. With the help of these innovative rules, it subjugated the European, American and Pacific Pagans, repulsed Meditarrean Muslims and successfully preserved itself from the Orthodox Christians.

However, within a hundred years, between 1870 and 1970, under the immense pressure of nationalism and then Cold-War (in Italian society), it buckled.

IMPACT

Scholarship

In the crowded market of Religion, the Catholic Church is blessed with great scholarship. Of all the Abrahamic faiths, Catholic Church remains one of the best institutions for people transitioning to Monotheism, and Rule of Law.

However, in the digital age, there are contradictions that require attention if the Church is keen to retain its premium position among the followers of the Christ.

Otherwise, it risks demoting itself to a faith group – rather than a functional religion. Worse, its adherents might leave its fold to become atheists.

Lack of Progress

Underpinning the fall of Canon Law was its inability to acknowledge or accommodate the emerging evidence, as provided by science. Nationalism and Communism were the passing trends, which could have been ignored. Not science.

At the crucial point in history, the Roman Catholic Church chose some bad decisions. Protestant Christianity, its rival, has never forgiven it for such a massive blunder.
